I've been waiting for decent brand car DVD gear to come into the affordable bracket for me, but today I hoped in a blokes can and he had a PS2 running on a el cheepo eBay.com.au screen and f**k it looked good, picture quality was impressive for a car TV and the unit actually looked very nice.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has used eBay.com.au gear and if any other ones are worth looking at? I just wanna get a bit of a DVD set up with reverse cam, not wanting to spent a fortune at the moment as it won't be used much.

Brash Imports is actually the mob that the bloke got his screen from! He wrote them down and told me to check it out.
I read on Car Audio Australia that Nesa Vision, Necvox, Viscom And some brand by Directed audio arn't too bad.
And when looking for screens to get ones that have sharp or panasonic or such components.

i bought a cheap a*** one off ebay for the race car. , screen and seperate dvd/mp3/tuner cost me about $400 with shipping . quality might not be as good as my clarion / nesa stuff in my other car but it will only fill up with dust and water anyway.

I've had experience with 2 8" LCD screens from ebay, one a mates and one my own (now stolen  ) and both of them were suprisingly good quality. I reckon you'd be crazy paying $1000+ for a brand name one

i just got a flyer from repco there having a stereo sale and blaupunkt screen 5.56" is $99 and the dvd player without tuner is $99 aswell also they have a cheepo sound4 dvdplyer with tuner and screen for $99 so i'm thinkin i'm gonna go for the blaupunkt but the sound 4 has the tuner.
so if i'm getting off the topic but if i get the blaupunkt one do i still have to run my head unit if so i'll just get the cheapo one, just thought i'd give you guys a heads up on the specials.

I work at Repco and guess what everything decent in that catalogue was sold out over a week ago! When the employees saw it they all bought it. Even I missed out, there were actually a few arguments on who could take what and that. Funny as. But for some reasont ehre still releasing the catalogue even though there's nothing left worth buying!
