Has anyone added a light to a GLi to illuminate the ignition key? My GLi has a hole but no globe - i think this comes standard on a Fairlane, so i would have thought a mod would be fairly straightforward.

it's not hard to do, i did it to my ef by cutting a harness at the wreckers and wiring it in myself.

Are EL XR8s meant to have these as standard? If so my light is blown I guess as it doesn't work.

not sure, but i would of thought so since someone above said futura and upwards got them, XR's are based on the futuras.

Cool I will have to take it apart then. It has the lens there not just a hole. Don't think it has worked since I have had the car. Never really thought about it until I read this thread.
