Being new to this can anyone point me to the site or topic on how to remove original head unit from an el
search comes up with 3700 topics

nah can't find much and thought there was a tech doco on it....pretty much as easy as open the astray/pocket and undo the screw.....then give the base a firm pull towards you and then it should be able to be pulled downward and pop out.

Will have ford security torx pieces one on either side of the head unit....then it will slide out.

pretty much mate just pull the plasctic surround off the screw is to the left of teh ash tray then pull that off unscrew unplug shes out

takes approx 5mins inc finding the tools in the back of the shed and yelling at your lil brother for jumping on the towball making your car bounce
