My elec arial wont go up or down any more.

I can hear the motor working when i turn the car on but the arial stays in one place. Would there be a cable inside that has broken.

If so can it be repaired or do i need a new arial.

its not affecting the reception on the radio i just like having things work.

Cheers
Scott

the mast will have busted. it can be replaced easy enough. need to get a new one from Ford. Just ask them when you pick it up for he best way to replace it but basically :

get someone to turn the radio on, as you hear the motor start to work pull the arial out, just keep pulling so it fully comes out of the car.

Then get someone to turn the radio off so the motor winds back in you can feed the new one back in the hole.

hope this makes some sense, just get someone to explain it better when you get a new one if need be.
