does anyone know if you can make it only go up halfway on a s3 xr8 like on the ghias its got the premium system if that helps

no i dont have a button but the ghias do just wandering if you can do the same on a xr8

It works from the high series bem if you have one otherwise it can be done with a seperate switch and a lot of ingenuity. :shock: :roll:

or you can get a kit for it to run seperately from the BEM they are rare to find, i've got one, yet to install it though. car goes to bodyworks on monday and i get my new arial then. i'll wire it up after that.

I don;t think so as it is controlled by the bem look at the doco's on smartlock and different bem"S :roll:

I did see a docco on the Ford Forums website that was a simple 'half height antenna switch' - have a look?

AFAIR the height is controlled by the BEM not the switch. The switch only tells the BEM what to do.
