Guys - while searching recently I found there are quite a few ppl having troubles with the factory CD stackers and some are replacing them... while I'm not sure if anyone is bothering to open the stacker to find the problem or simply writing them off, I thought I could at least advise ppl to at least take the time to crack open the case and have a quick peek inside. The reason I write this is because out of the blue, mine stopped working and started showing "3 ERR" and "7 ERR" messages (on the premium equaliser). Despite numerous attempts at disconnecting battery terminals and thumping the case, nothing would work. The cartridge would not eject either so I pulled the whole thing apart and found a small cog on a drive motor had simply slipped to the end of the shaft and was not meshing with another cog... a dab of glue and a push back into place and I had a fully functioning stacker again. For a half hours time and a dab of super glue I had saved quite significantly ! I realise this is probably pointless to a lot of ppl as CD's gradually become obsolete - but hey - I still use mine and I hope it can help someone out... chances are maybe you'll still need to replace it but at least you tried I reckon..
Cheers ...

Wicksy - theres a tiny hole below the cartridge that you push a paperclip or pin into and it'll manually spit the cartridge out. You'll need something a little sturdy as it's not always easy - p/clip works best IMO and yes - it will need to be unfolded ;-)...

I've only lived in brissy for 2 years, up in cairns before that, wicksy the mackay bloke you'd know what im talkin about, the wet season just lingers on throughout the summer, and then it truly takes a good 7 months of on/off rain to stop. 2 months of dry and then its all on again.

brisbane has been getting quite a downpour in the last few weeks and its about time i'd say. Im not a fan of the rain but its good to get even a little rain to bring home that we need the rain.
