Looks og. I mounted mine behind the carpet trim panel on the inner rear gaurd. Then the factory carpert goes straight over it and it's all hidden. Took about 2hrs to do, but you cant see the amp so if your making a feature of it then i guess thats no good.

Looks good....

Why not drill holes in the timber so the cables can go through the board and behind, , for a bit of a neater look ?

Ive mounted my amp in the same place in my EB, but rather than have a piece of mdf, i made up some brackets out of 3mm steel, and it all bolts up nice and tight. None of the brackets are visible from the front, so it sort of looks like its floating there :P

hiding the wireing is the next part of my install.
also this is only temporary till i start building my false floor that way i can finnaly get a better amp to run my subs. I have 2 Kicker CVR 10" 400WRMS dosnt give both subs enough power each

mines mounted right behind the rear seats on the hump in the boot :P ill hide the wires one day.. but no one ever sees them cause a big box in the way

pic in gallery :)

sorry to hijack, but not important enough for a new thread (or im too lazy) because of the way my subs are mounted, any opinions on putting a speaker grill where the factory woofer would go in the fairmont ghias to allow some more breathing room and help out the rears by not gettom bombarded with bass

If I see what you're getting at aaron, wouldn't you havve some cooling problems with it 'hidden' behind the trim?

OFF TOPIC
Also, I'm in the middle of designing a full custom install. We've got the shape of the sub boxes designed for exact volume, but how much does the shape of the box effect SQ? Could I send you an email of the box design to see what you reckon? This will be a show boot setup...
