Anyone got a schematic/diagram on how the FPV starter button is hooked up?

i think its basically just a wire to the ignition that does the same thing that the key would do if it was to turn.

if that makes sense. what ever wire gets power when the key is turned all the way the button does the same thing. sounds simple i know but im fairly sure thats about allt here is to it.

so in a long winded way for me to say this its basically a copy of your ignition barrel (well half of it anyway)

thats my understanding of it, hope that kind of makes sense to you...

Doesn't pressing the start button again also make it stop? Or do you still have to turn the key? Seems like a novelty that would get annoying very fast. Insert key, turn, press another button.......

Nope, button only does starting.

Well I've had it since October, and now in other cars I automatically reach for the non-existent starter button.

I drive a BF Futura at work, always going for a button that isn't there.

not really, thats kinda the concept and that is a crude way to do it, but in the b series the starters need relays to switch about 4 different wires, otherwise the ecu will shut the engine down!

Yeah I've got diagrams of the regular ignition system, just none of the button. I've yet to pull it apart yet (I don't like going into things unprepared).

if you installed the FPV button in your car, it would light up right? (as in, its not ecu dependent or anything)
