Hey guys, I have a confession to make, I have normally piggy backed the constant wire to an amp off the decks constant. I know its bad but I have changed my wicked ways. The EL I have at one point in time has had an amp installed with a constant wire running direct from the battery, it is missing a screw in fusable link from the wire to the battery ( so its just a brass connection swinging in the breeze). If I cut the connection and solder the same amp wire to it and connect it to the battery, wont the amps fuses stop any surges from damaging the amp?
