my mate has a ef and we put a new h/u in it and has workd great but the other day the h/u would work, but as soon as you sart the car the h/u does work not power to it at all anyone can help?

More then likely a fuse of some sort. Same thing happened to me. If you find a blown fuse check all the wiring for what has caused the short.

So is this going off your other thread dude regarding splits not working that youve found the problem i the headunit powering off?

EDIT: Sorry my bad this is ya mates car - and yes i'd be checking the fuses

will it still come on if the engine is off? or does it not power up at all anymore. Also check the fuse on the H/U itself. And if any are blown, check all your wiring isn't loose before powering it up again.

And to save us reading the same thing 10 times to make sense, proof read your post for grammar :P
