you should bridge the 2 channels to 1, providing your amp is 2ohm stable. positive to positive on both side and negative to negative on both sides.

hope that makes sense.

yep makes sense but what did the silkscreen marking mean and how do i connect these two leads, (pos and neg) to the voilce coils? do i split them back into four leads and run the positive ones to the positive terminals?

the screen underneath just indicates whick positive and negative to use when bridging the 2 channels together, they should point to one neg and one pos.

you just run 2 wires for the pos on the amp, one to each set of terminals on the speaker, and 2 wires from the neg on the amp to the 2 neg terminals on the speaker.

cheers guys, ive got it wired up and working now but am dissapointed with my 12 inch sub. i now realise i should have gone 10 inch so i think i will get an 8 inch to go with the 12 to give more to the low frequencies rather than just the ultra low ones

only ultra low bass is being pumped out by the sub i was hoping for an all round gain in the bass, normal bass is at the same level, it could be a phasing problem with my 6.5inch rear speakers

Still dont see why u were disappointed...maybe its still not setup right or in need of a good tune.....aaron (pyroay) is having an spl/sql tuning day if your keen....could be your answer...and i doubt phasing is causing this with your 6.5inch rears since phasing probably isnt occuring at all but with out seeing your setup is hard to comment

Aarons audio day

Happy to have a okk, and i usually have a couple of other spare subs sitting around we can try in the set-up to see some differences.

thanks guys but im on the other side or our great land.

The phasing problem would be due to my 6.5's sitting on the rear parcel shelf, the sound coming through the seats created by the rear of the speaker is enough to cancel out the sound being produced by the top of the speaker, this has been confirmed by the quality of the bass being higher when the back had 4 people sitting in it. Im going to be sealing off the back and have the sub facing into the cabin, boxed from behind.
