Okay, bought these speakers and the Pioneer instructions on the box are dodgy as always, so I really have no idea. I did a search and nothing really useful came up.

I'm happy to put the tweeters in the stock location on the dash, unless it is easier to put them in the doors with the speakers.

Here are some pics of what came in the pack, how do I wire it all up and where do I put the crossover thing?

okie dokie, i havn't wired up splits before so some one please correct me if i am wrong but from the looks of things your wiring should go like this:

AMP: The desired channel from H/U
Woofer: The 6 inch speaker
Tweeter: Obvious

Not too sure what the other chanel is for where it has the -30DB, As for where to mount those, any possible chance of mountine those behind the kick pannels, i dont think the ecu should interfier in any way or if it does and or you dont like the idea of doing that you could try and mount them behind the H/U itself, but im sure other members who have splits in their cars could give insight as to where to mount them.

Ah, sweet if you got the wiring right there. I know everythings gotta be wired up, but with how crap is written on the crossover, it's a bit confusing.

Anyone know where I should mount/put the crossover units?

Don''t put them on dash, the sail peices on the top above teh door trim, there triangular and small, mount them on there rather.

The woofer put in the factory speaker location.

The crossover, make a little bracket and attach it to the inside of the door - I'll get a photo of mine in a minute.

See, old licence plates come in handy.
It's about to change a bit though as the map pockets at a mates house getting hacked up and glassed to fit an 8" woofer. And I just got some 3 way crossovers and 4" mid speakers - trying to figure out how to do them ATM.

Tahnks mate, but I'm not using an amplifier. I want to run the front speakers off the head unit. Can you modify the diagram a little with that in mind? Sorry.

If that is the case. Use the right signal cable from the old speakers to run the right hand side and the left for the left. Therefore run the negative/positive to the "AMPLIFIER" contacts of the crossover and then run the woofer to the 6" speakers and the tweeter to the tweeters...won't get the best sound but will still get something better then stock...

should work that way...someone correct me if I am wrong.

Serious?

Instead of the audio speaker signal goign from the amp to crossover for the speakers, it now goes from the amplifier built into the headunit to the cross over.

The cross over then divides the signal determining what goes to the tweeter and what goes to the mid bass.

Okay thanks for that guys. Just finally should I use the -3dB positive outlet for the tweeters, keeping in mind I'm putting them in the stock location? Thanks.
