i hav just purchased meslef a line to rca plug converter and are now wondering how do i get behind the stereo to connect it all up. id like to plug me amp into it to give the speakers a bit more oomf

ive heard that if you get the front of the dash off DON'T turn it upside down

that is correct. the ICC can not be turned upside down or wont work

The icc unit comes out as a whole
you need to pull the top cover off and there should be a couple screws there, you then unscrew the section off the bottom of the icc (tissue holder Section) and you should se a couple more, you then pull the unit half out and unplug all the connectors

just out of curiousity, what are you running off the amp, and where are you going to mount the amp?
