No doubt they'll be some nice twisted wire connections under those red taped areas. Definitely in need of a few cable ties.

Not totally bad  - didn't notice any scotchlocks . . . . . . :D

They're not just twisted, they're soldered too.
I know, I did it for him, then left him to 'clean up'

Actually??? Did I do that one frase?

Just as well - I've seen a few audio installations with wires twisted and taped - not good for long time reliability.

just get a large roll of tape and tape all 37 wires (or how ever many you have there) into 1 wire..

nice and neat

pml, id go crazy thinking in the back of my head that i know what type of mess is behind my HU.
After i got my stuff installed i even checked behind the HU to make sure it was looking decent and safe, whichit wasnt too bad really, last one i got done was worse. :|
Amazing what some cable ties and untangling can do!

thats not all that bad. ive worked on a falcon with about 10x that mess (did have 2 decks though). i remember a honda i had to work, my god, i reckon it had about 4 different decks in the dash and each time it had new speaker wire and power wire run. so i say again its not bad.
