This is a digital signal generator.

Pretty easy to use, just put anything above 15hz all the way to 20000 if you want your ears to bleed :P

Set the signal level to desired, i just use 10. sampling leave at 44100 and the wave shape is always sine, the others arent pretty to listen to.

Then when youve selected your desired Hz level, click display wave, go to file, save as and choose how long you want the sample to be, save the wav file, burn said wav file to disk, put in head unit and feel the bass.

Ive made clips from 15hz to 50 in 1hz intervals, its wierd to see subs bounce at 15hz, you can hardly hear it tho but its cool as.

I've made a test CD that includes 7, 8 and 9 Hz tones. Great for spotting a dead sub in a multisub setup. Or indeed searching for the brown note.

Just don't let them run to long, they'll heat up the voice coils real good.

oh... prolly shouldnt play 15-40hz for 10 secs per hz then...

My subs say they only play 23-400hz, but they dont, 400hz plays thru the fronts, and anything under 15 is unhearable.

Its still pretty cool tho.

The Brown note is awesome as, i still piss myself laughing every time i watch that south park ep.

Yeah it's free. The program itself is in english, however the site and installer is in some asian language. You should be able to figure out the installer, it works the same as any other.

CAA have a free test tone image here:

Yeh thats a pretty good disc ... 90mb download wasnt it.... really just need to make sure you arent continually running hard coded frequencies or ones that really arent desinged for your woofer driver...

Like in SPL comps most of these are used for big db burps when there 5 secs or less left in your 30 sec run....they arent deisnged to be played for longer than very short periods.

hehee and with this being the limitation for the majority of human ears with the lowest being roudn 20 hz .... 20khz cant get piercing.....why buying speakers that can produce 60khz plus signals....not to great a point when most can't hear dynamically what is being produced.

Like how we think we can listen up to 120db before we begin to risk doing damage....the dynamic range for wats known as the intensity range is from 90db to 120db....so ppl with sensitive ears can actually damage there hearing just from an averagely loud exhaust...how f**k what that be :P

It's about 30MB. So not too big even for dial up users.
