Now that's a champion Idea. As long as it supports a MASSIVE HDD, you'd be right for just about anything. Too bad about the price though, but then again, if you add your own tft screen to that, then you do save a lot over say an apline screen and HDD unit.

well the hdd and such would be usb devices so what ever you plug in to it.

it actually takes 2.5in HDD so a laptop HDD goes internally. That's brilliant! I gotta get me one!

actually from the computer side of things it is probably the s**t invention in the world with a tiny market.
the achitecture of that cpu is the worst. it will be a slow as s**t peice of crap, its designed to run without fans so its designed to run cool, not fast. (its 533mhz but will be as fast as a 200mhz desktop) ur better off gettin all the parts and an inverter and making a p4 1.8, 200gb ide drive(3.5"), 256mb ddr333, gf4 mx 440, 300w psu, and a dvd drive. making a custom box for it all, and sticking it in ya boot, or under a seat, or wherever u want it, and have a 10" tft somewhere, maybe a 15" lcd pc monitor hacked apart to sit in dash or something, and it will end up costing similar to the price of that s**t one (including monitor) and will run about 300x faster.(and hold a better resale should you choose to sell later on)

buuuuuuuut
in all seriousness what do you need a heap of processing power in a car for ? whats the main thing it would be used for ? music and movies, an eden533 would handle that on its ear. just kinda nice in that you have no noise, direct 12v, and nice and small. there are plenty of cheaper solutions tho, checkout http://www.mini-itx.com

yeh was gonna mention mini itx sizes, but they are about as powerful as the 533 too...

the only use it would be is for playing dvds and music which u want fast!!!
if ur into computers and when it comes time to upgrade just chuck ur old compinto to a more compact case u would be suprised how small it is or even make ur own and run a extrnal dvd drive thorugh usb to front of the car and have a laptop sized kb or even a touch screen ($$$) and a huge a** screen heres a 15" screen in my vl nice and big! allu would need is a powerinverter $100-$200 for a pwoerfull one

this has the advantage of direct 12v input - a power inverter is a huge waste of energy.
