Are you able to put a motorized screen under where the first H/U is? Or will it hit the top one?

You can; its in the top position where it is more of a problem with hitting the ledge that sticks out of the dash under the air vents; u never realise how big that ledge is untill you install a screen!

How cheap?
Id start looking on ebay and CarAudioAustrlia's For Sale section; sometimes some bargains to be had there..
If you can find a car audio store that has an older screen, not talking OLD, but the older models left over, they will more than likely clear those out at a great price, thats where id be looking.

If you've got a 5sp Manual, you'll find the gearstick will hit an 'indash' screen mounted below, or inplace of the radio when you shift into 1st/3rd/5th. I'm assuming its not a problem for those with the Auto shifters, or column shift.

Not if you mount the screen in the top DIN position in an ef/l
In the bottom it prolly would.

Ah s**t really?!
Nickos doesnt; must be dependant on the screen, he has the pioneer screen with a gt gear knob, seems like theres enough clearance, plus the phone holden n remote control there, heaps of stuff!

How hard wpuld it be to set one up in the glovebox?

Pretty much I need a setup for mainly the passenger, but I would like to be able to see it at times (without being a passenger)

u just gotta make the brackets to go in there... dunno if the glovebox has the length to retain at least some space in there.. plus the passenger will have to be able to compromise some legroom while having the glovebox lid bouncing around :P

Where then Dan the Man?

Assuming I dont get a motorised screen, which I do want, where can I put the screen?

Was just thinking the join of dash and passenger leg area, hang a screen off there.

Or

Wehre the gear selector is the rounded ede that curves up, put a screen in there...possible or not? Make the sscreen rotatable so that the passenger doesnt knock it.
