hey guys im having some trouble finding information about installing a sub and amp to a Fairmont. i want to keep the stock stereo and still use that but i don't have the premo sound with the sub and amp which would make life easier.

but i do have the big screen just not color so if any one could help me or point me in the right direction that would be awsome

Check out they'll have quite a few threads on that.

Basically buy a line level converter and tap into your rear speaker wires to produce an RCA output.
You'll need to run a new power cable from the battery and just earth to the chassis somewhere near the amp.

As for the remote on/off, run it off the cigarette lighter power or something that comes on when the ignition is turned on.

hope that helps.

I didnt think they did a big screen that wasnt colour. wierd.
