^^
Yep. That would be the factory location. Theres only a few screws holding it on, so mounting your tweeters isnt a difficult thing to do.

Not difficult and not a good result either.

With the EF/EL's the more time you put in the better the result.

Some cars have good factory locations some dont/

The EL's dont........

A pillars, ideally along with midranges if running 3 ways but Kicks works for mid's if you hyave T/A.

Reflections off the glass smear the image and enhance the lower hugh's giving a distorted freq resposne.

Soft domw tweeters work best in higher locations mainly due to their inhenent high freq rolloff.

Summary
Best place is the A Pillars

Reasons:
Lifts the sound stage and allows you to achieve proper staging and imaging (sound location, height width and depth)

Reasons why stock location is poor:
Firing directly at the glass means the sound reflects off the glass in many different directions. This means there is not a single point source for the sound byut instead it seems smeared.

Different frequency'd reflect differently so some sounds are amplifier and become stronger. Because of thw short size of high freq soundwaves some fire into the glass and reflect bqack on themselves causing cancellation.

In english
this is like throwing a bucket of water at a wall. Some splashes out the side but most of it bounces back and hits itself then falls straightt on the floor.

In the audio environment this leaves you with missing sounds.

Add missing sounds + sound swhich have now been amplified + sounds not coming from one place as they are smeared = an unnatural sound
