yup, told me if he heard me that loud again he'd book me...... gonna make sure the f**k writes 200dB on the ticket,,,,, either i'll win in court and make him look like a t00l, or i'll pay the fine and demand to be crowned world SPL record holder !

dam the EPA pricks got my old xd and it measured 115db and that was LOUD 200db did they mesure it or guess coz dam thats like a plane

i rewckon 200db is huge.... i had one and it got rated at 110db.. so god damn 200 must have been loud as, you must be deaf!!!

they legal limit now is 90db isnt it?? in nsw anyway...

90db for cars manufactured after 1986 (i.e. cars running unleaded fuel) 96db for cars made before 1986...

why is it differnt for cars before 1986??

is unleaded more exsplosive to vibrations and noise is it??

No it's to do with manufacturing regulations at the time.

Before 1986 manufacturors did not have to build cars to the same tollerances. The same way the regulations are becoming more stringent now with ford having to make the new BF falcons with even less emissions than tha BA's. Not because the BA's were bad but because leglislation has become stricter. It will continue to get that way and i think eventually you will need to have an emissons test on all vehicles every 5yrs...

200db is a lot of pressure. I have read soewhere that when a space shuttle takes off at the base of it (i.e. underneath the burning rocket fuel) there is about 180db of pressure so 200db would blow most things apart i would think...
