need some new 6" speakers as my rear speakers aren;t working.
just wanted to know if anyone knew what was the most powerful 6" speaker? out of pioneer,alpine,kenwood...etc. cheers |

Have you looked at Soundstream?
The RF60C's are a 6" component speaker rated at 360Watt peak and 180WRMS.

Speakers don't really have any power in them, amps power them. Speaker handle the power in a sense. You could get speakers with the highest power handling rating in the world and they still will be s**t if you ran them off a peice of crud amp.

and the sensitivity is equally as important. 100WRMS speakers at 93 dB will play as loud as 200WRMS speakers at 90dB
edit; assuming they are both being fed 100WRMS and 200WRMS respectively |

Its not all about the power. Never was, never will be.
You could pump 100rms into 6" speakers, and depending on brand and specs, 50rms into another set could s**t all over them, both sound quality wise, and loudness. But if you want some insanely loud speakers that have been known to take around 300rms each then look at: DDW6.5 component set. rated at 200rms. There is an LT version which is an upgrade of that too, dunno if you can get it here tho. |

i just want to get something with a bit of balls..that projects nice and clear. |

morel 6" or if u have the money then dynaudio
 but for the bucks id go the morels

Why waste good money on rear fill?
Fronts is where quality and loudness is important. My rears are only used when a DVD is playing.

because i would like my whole system to sound nice throught the whole car..
no point in buying good speakers for the front and s**t speakers for the back |

Not saying get s**t ones for the back, just don't waste you're money on getting top of the line ones.

I'd look into Cadence Gear. A mate has a few bits in his car (sub, splits) and its really clear good sounding stuff.
As for rear fill dont go buy the $19 supercheap stuff but dont invest too much cash either. a good set of 2 way or 3 way co-axes will do the job nicley. Ive got some Kenwood 2 ways i got from JB Hi-fi on sale for $44 and there fine for there intended purpose. |

Cadence is bad its just not as good as people say it is. Their gear looks good and goes pretty well for people on a budget.

morel all the way  the splits are about $600 but they almost rival the dynaudio $1500 set, or if u have a spare 10k u can get rainbows

Ive got a panasonic HU that i bought 3 years ago and its never missed a beat and had better features than the pioneer and kenwwood stuff it was priced with. There speakers... never heard or used the stuff so you may be right there. |
