G'day, I am looking at buying a sound system for my car over the Xmas holidays but I am unsure what to do in running the speakers and sub woofer.

I have never put a sound system in a car before but I have a good enough idea of how to do it, with help from family and fordmods of course. :-)

I want to buy 4 speakers, a sub and an amp (I already have an aftermarket head unit) and I wanted to know should I buy a single 4 channel amp and bridge the sub woofer through 2 channels and run the front speakers off the other 2, or should I get 2 amps, a mono and a 4 channel one and run each speakers on it's own and the sub off the mono. It may seem like a stupid question but I don't want it my car to have a dodgy sound system.

Thanks, Zane.

Make sure when you install your speakers/sub there in phase with each other, also when I install sound systems I run power and RCA leads on opposing sides of the car to help reduce alternator hum.
It's amazing what little tricks will make a difference!

Also make sure that where you connect your negatives, you remove paint etc under the lug so that there is full contact.
