That'd make them 400WRMS at 4ohms which is what this amp puts out. 400WRMS at 4ohms. You would have to wire the subs in series otherwise you'll over power them.

They're about $400 from Jaycar. I got mine for about $200 off ebay.

But honestly, it'd probably be more than what you'd need. Your subs aren't exactly huge, power hungry monsters... Just grab an el' cheapo mono block off ebay which does 400WRMS at 2ohms. Something like this would be great for you... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/SSL-1FD850-FORCE ... dZViewItem

You wouldn't need a 2x400wrms one. Besides, they don't make one... In fact, they don't even make mine anymore. A monoblock is best for subs. The lowest powering monoblock Jaycar make now is the 1000WRMS one which only runs at a max 2ohm load so would not work with the Pioneer Premiers.

So you would have to buy an older Response amp. Or get something else.

Kicker L7's are 750wrms with twin 2ohm voice coils from memory. I'd get a monoblock that does 700-800wrms at 1ohm and wire the sub in parallel.
Make sure you get a 1ohm capable amp or the you won't be able to use the sub to it's full potential.

There are amps around that do 750wrms at 1ohm which would be perfect for the L7. My amp does 800wrms at 1ohm so will overpower the sub slightly.

Soundstream do a really nice amp in their Tarantula Series which is around the 700wrms mark at 1ohm and is about $400. I'll try to find it.

Here's what I was thinking of... Soundstream TRX700D Mono Tarantula Amp...

$379 and 700WRMS at 1ohm. Very reasonably priced and a good power match for the sub...

Not overpowering the amp. Overpowering the sub. You don't want to blow it up!

Getting a 1000WRMS amp and turning the gain down would be fine. But kind of pointless. I've always been one for matching my sub to my amp.
