why not? I already have 6x9"s and they sound better than 6"'s... Besides... that wasn't the question... :P

They're at least 7 years old, probably older... I wouldn't pay more than $10 for them.

...looks very outdated IMO...they look like my old 8" speakers.

to answer your question...no, don't have them but would think they'd be alright if you are just having them temporarily.

I'm thinking I might just grab some 6.5" for the rear instead of 6x9" 's... People's thoughts??? Soundstream stuff seems pretty good... Just grabbed a pair for my fronts

If you have subs, then 6" or 6.5" are generally better for rears as they usually have better midrange than 6x9s.

[edit] Oh, and if you're interested I have some Pioneer 6" speakers in the for sale area :p

I found that when I bought a good set of Soundstream 6.5" for the front... They seemed to have more mid and clarity than my 5-way Response 6x9" in the rear. So I reckon I'll buy another set of them and I'll be set :D

imo, very old and stone good guess, but i would pit them closer to 10 years as they still have our old logo. i would not be buying a speaker that old no matter how much it cost me, and i also second the notion that if you have subs, use a 6" speaker

Yeh... Thanks guys... Your spot on... The person got back to me and told me they were purchased 10 years ago. They sold for $61!!! wtf?! You can buy new Pioneers for that!

Anyway... I've taken your advice and I'm going Soundstream XST-6.5 all round... Heard then in the store and they sounded awesome for the price... Not to mention they look like they'll fit into the front doors without spacers or modding :D

They may be old...but to be honest, I have found old stuff to last much longer then what is out there these days :S...like this old computer table...made of REAL wood rather then the crappy chip wood with laminex on it. But yeah my 8" speakers are 10 years old or more, but they still are pretty good.

nice choice for a set of rears.

Interesting.... I've found 8" Pioneer's being sold from a eBay store for about the same as what you'd pay for 6"... What brand are yours? They sound alright?
