I don't have one of these systems so I cant help directly with it but looking at the EF factory manual it shows there being 3 connections on the DSP unit ("bottom din"). 1 is the stacker, 2 is the amplifier (a DIN plug on EFs) and other being power /earth (looped from the upper unit). The curcuit diagrams dont show the wiring between the seperate components, only that the power connector is a 3 pin plug with the outer 2 pins being used - looking at the front of the plug with the locking tab uppermost: earth (black wire) is on the left, power (green with yellow trace) on the right. These 2 wires join the corresponding colored wires in the loom going to the upper unit.
Hope this helps in some way.

yeah that doco has been chacked, what it is lacking is the plug typesm cause I have a different plug configuration, see the mid series H/U has plug 1 and 5 and another plug not shown there which is where my querie stems from. I am hoping that with the arrival of the amp my issues will be solved.

If there are 3 plugs on the Mid series loom, 2 of them will be correct (as you've found) The 4 wire plug is for the rear speakers and is not used in the Premium system as the rear signals are directly routed to the DSP unit -> Amp.
Make sure you get the boot loom for the rear speakers along with the amp.
You will also need a plug to fit the small socket on the DSP unit to get power from the loom at plug 1 (Green/Yellow wire) and ground from the Black wire (spade connector) as described previously.
