hey just bought an ef and the central locking button dont work , the key works on it but the button seems to not get a signal ... The red light comes on on the remote ,just wanna find out if you can programm it or something

tried it , it worked but when i press the remote button the locks make the sound of them working but they dont change state (lock to unlock ) the key works to lock and unlock but the button dont

Any way of fixing this ???

How old is the battery in the remote? When they're nearly cactus they tend to do 'interesting' things.
