hey aaron. maybe u should just open up ur own custom car audio store. im sure ull get a lot of money out of that. and do pyrotechnics as a side thing. =D a constant amount of cash flow and also a lump sum when pyrotechnics comes into place. it'll be hard. but close the audio store when u do pyro stuff.

phong =P~

I like the idea of writing the number 1 sound system in oz car audio off as a work related expense. That would be so sweet!!!!

Yeah well i have seen an accountant and i can write an amount of it off over 5 yrs since the car is used for work purposes a lot of the time.

21, 000 of install

Fairenough the alarm is elaborate, but all that money for fibreglass, sanding and painting.

You could have bought a BA XR6 turbo for that hahaha

Do you ever ask yourself...why? I do. And I have only spent about 3 on modding my car

No not really. I really enjoy driving the car and my aim is to have the best sounding car in the country (SQ wise) I knew that would never be cheap. I won it in 2004 and took 2005 off to design and build a new system.

I have also tried to be an example of what can be done and somewhat of an inspiration to others. I wanted to have a daily driver car that has all of the things that most people only see in show cars that are not driven.

Not sure whether i have achieved any of those goals but I've had fun working on it.

I really am out of money though now and have pretty much stopped working on it, just doing some small cosmetic things now.

Then i will have enjoy driving the car for 3-4 years rthen sell it off and go with another much smaller scale project. Probably a BA or BF XR6 Turbo or even BA/BF XR8 supercharged.

Well thats fairenough

Im calculating the money invested in that car (knowing the engine, gearbox, paint and multiple sound installs) would roughly account for about half the mortgage im looking at getting for a decent 4brm house in Brisbane

Makes me feel light in the head

But congrats on the car, you obviously work hard enough to earn the kinda cash to go into a car like this, it is an inspiration for others who want to mod a 'taxi' into something unique

Yeah I promised i would not spend any of my full time job inceom on the car and i haven't done.

All money spent on it is money from my Fireworks or Lighting hiobby over the last 5 years.

So while others are out enjoying 21st b'days, weddings and weekends at the pub I am also at those places behind the computer DJ'ing, doing fireworks etc.... to pay for the car.

So really you get the best of both worlds. Kinda! You get to go to all the parties (with hobbie business) and have the kick but car!

No i wouldn't lie to ou all, there has certainly been a share of good times. I have done 100,000km since the turbo was first added so there have been some very good km in there.

G'day

I love this car, if i was gona own something other than my xf it would be an el xr6.

I cant believe the effort that has gone into this car. Theres so much attention to detail. I haven't seen it in the flesh but from the photos it looks ace.

This car has given me and alot other people inspiration to come up with their own creations. Mines coming just taking years to do it.

Cheers

Thanks, it's good to know others appreciate it.

A number of people dismiss it and say oh it's just another ford.

I look forward to making a few cruises comming up in the next while to catch up with some of you.
