I've taken the initiative of starting my new boot install while the rest of my car is getting it's final touches before it's ready for spraying. Many designs have been thought up and suggested, but a final decision was made with an equal compromise on asthetic looks, simplicity of the design and overall functionality.
Step 1: Mounting the batteries... The idea of placing the batteries in the origional fuel tank location has been scrapped. Basically, i still want to run twin exhausts, and the only way was to find a different location for the batteries. Hence, my solution (or rather my mates solution). 
Although it may not look like it, it was a VERY tight squeeze to get the batteries in. The stands have also been strengthened with L brackets and bolted securely to the car. These batteries weigh over 20kg each so i'm not taking any risks. The batteries are yet to be secured into place, but this is a simple task of bolting it to the back wall of the boot. I will also be making battery boxes for them which will be sealed and externally vented though the origional fuel pump access hole. Hears a quick diagram that'll help explain it...

so far it looks a bit dirty but im sure all progressive works are like that. :S i find the battery next to a gas tank dangerous but thats just me.other then that im sure it will come out great =D and lucky u have that vent for ur batteries too.

phong =P~ the batteries tho are gonna be fine and safe there...it cant spark and arc thru the tank ...and for it to go boom u'd need a spark and it to leak...
Still thats why with my below pic orignally I had the perspex covers added so you couldnt easily get too or knock for that matter the terminals

are the batteries your using not lead acid? I first saw it and though wtf are you tipping the batteries up for

Must be a fairly serious system your planning to have 3 batteries, 2 optima's and the front battery.
Audison LrX, nice amps...

Pyro, there's only two batteries. My front battery location has been overtaken by intercooler piping
Bluefalc, they are sealed lead acid. They can be installed however you like, even upside down if need be... Phongus, the cars in the middle of getting a respray, so you can forgive me for there being a little excessive dust I'll show a couple of pics of my old boot install which should give you some hope for the new one.
