Hey all
I looking for some help on how to install some 6.5" splits in a AU1 fairmont? i recently got a new headunit and wondering if i need to amp to run the splits or do i just run 'em of the HU. HU is only 50W peak which from probably the only usefull thing i have learnt from physics is thats is around 18w rms. Splits are Alpine type R SPR-176A 50w rms. would like toalso see pictures of other AU's with 6.5" splits in them.

what type of head unit, any other speakers, give us an idea, but in short yes you can run them off the HU, but won't be real flash......

you will get much better sq out of an amp and they will be much clearer, however they will run off a hu, just not at their peak
