hey im gonna be dropiing a few grand on a decent sound system for my EB

ok, now what i want is
-new head unit
-2x 12" subs
-new speakers on fron doors
-new speakers on parcel shelf
-any other speakers im missing
-amps

id like 2 type r 12" alpines maybe

i also like pioneer

with the head unit i can get them dirt cheap

ie: pioneer deh-p1y for like $440
deh-9650 for $590
alpine 9835 for $575

anyway what i want is someone to tell me a great setup...

i will have a custom box built for the subs(im doing woodwork so i can build it myself for free!!)

im thinking 2x 12" type r
deh p1y or the alpine 9835?
cadence amps?

anyway guys whats a good combo

i listen to rock, techno, and hip hop/rap...

it's some mob on EBAY who do grey imports..... no warranty, the manufacturers generally dont allow grey imports, and it hurts our local industry

dude, give us a solid $$ figure to work with

actual inter it isnt grey market, and it does have warranty...

also the subs i originally wanted were brahma's

ive realised they are probably overkill tho
(and i only want 12's now)

they *are* grey imports, and the manufacturers will NOT honour the warranty for products sold outside of australia

put a decent alarm/immobliser in before you start with the sound system, your car will attract some attention when the sound is cranking, and some low life might try to take your car.

no, some are genuine australian sales, but a lot of manufacturers have banned online sales and wont honour the warranty anyway

the store i will use has 900 or so people who have left positive feedback with a score of 99.9 i think if someone had a faulty item which needed returning on warranty it would have happened by now, and when they find out there is no warranty, they would elave negative feedback.....

not too sure you can change feedback once you've left it

imo its worth the gamble with the $600 saving....

even if it does go awol i can buy a $600 lower spec head unit from like jb hifi or something instead of gettin another one (if warranty doesnt claim it etc etc)
