From these specs, what would you say about them? #1 thing about buying speakers, NEVER pay attention to whats written on the box or on the spec sheet beyond it's wrms rating
only 2 things matter when buying speakers/subs, and they're in this order: 1: how they sound to you 2: the reputation they have with people who dont rely on selling them to make a living tell us what you're thinking of buying and we'll tell you what we think

That's the speakers I'm planning on buying. You read the specs yourself. It either looks good, or dodgy. That's what i'm curious about. The brand name shouldn't matter

specs arent worth the paper they're written on, it's easy to say a speaker performs to specification A when in fact, they are way different
just tell us what the damned things are, and you'll get an answer

So basicly you're saying that only the 150WRMS matters at all.
I HAVE bought those speakers. I've currently got sony 6in splits, running off a Jensen amp. They're maaaaybe getting 50WRMS. They get loud - sound okay, but I'm pretty sure these new ones are going to be better. The speakers are on their way from the US. I'll give it a few weeks. They say 150WRMS, so I've also bought a 2 channel amp good for 150wrms @ 4 ohms. They are MA AUDIO. From all the specs they provide they look pretty good, as the drivers are 3inches deep and look massive, and they were only $99US, down from over $200US. Here's to hopeing they're actually pretty good. The main aim of the post was to see what someones interpretation of those specs was. |

The reason I posted was that I haven't been able to find any of these sold, or reviewed in Australia, and I doubt anyone on here has a pair.

To me brand name matters a lot, I mean companies that have been around for a long time generally make quality long lasting products. It also matters about how they sound, not what a peice of paper says.

Yeah that's cool - I expected as much. I'm just hoping that if they can handle that much power, then the must sound okay, even if not at a really loud level....
These guys have actually built some award winning cars with this gear, So I assume they'll be alright. |
