Used to do that with my EL, now in the GT-P the combination of false floor and parcel shelf allows the boxes to be wedged in and don't move on their own.

I also have this problem, with twin alpines...
The problem isn't contact with the carpet as it seems to stick to the same spot in the carpet, but the boot carpet itself moves about... Anyone have any advice? |

You'd have to fix the carpet to the boot somehow.
glue to floor. Best attack IMO would be to get some brackets and screw the sub box through the carpet into the boot floor.

L bracket. To get the best sound quality they need to be mounted quite tightly. I haven't seen or tried velcro but it might work.

Box being mounted firmly or not, won't make any difference to SQ (unless of course it's banging around the boot making noise). The box should be built solidly enough to not vibrate/resonate.

Yeah I guess it is an option to bolt it down... But I'm not really confident enough to start drilling holes
