my EA was the same, speakers classified as 6 1/2" but in reality the holes only fit the true 6" speakers (like pioneer and alpine)

I have true 6.5" and there was no way they were going to fit without modifications.....

Ride: EF Fairmont AU Falcon FG XR6

Location: Eastern Suburbs,VIC
VIC, Australia

u will notice the stock front speakers have 3 screws aftermarket speakers have 4 holes for there mounting and also 3 other holes to mount into a stock screw pattern i know my 94 mont had it and my n13 pulsar had it and my ef futura wagon got it :lol:



6in vs 6.5 in is there really much of a diffrence like really

i have a nl fairlaine ghia and ill i have is six speakers and a sub thats it so yeh i dunno where the other 2 are

The difference is fit or no fit......


the diffrence is the 6.5in MUCH better then 6in ... is it worth cuttin the door apart to fit a speaker thats really only 12.5mm bigger thats what i ment
