the sub in the father in laws ef fairmont ghia is crook,we replaced all the speakers with clarion stuff but had trouble finding a sub to fit the standard hole..any suggestions?

I think they are 8 Inch I found one for mine off eBay, but that died not long after I installed it.

its an 8" sub, not too hard to find, you just gotta ask for it. use any 4ohm one shud run ok on fords amp. good luck

I imagine if you were going to use a Sub other than the original unit you would need to use a "Free Air" Sub.
One that is designed to work without an enclosure if you are going to mount it in the parcel shelf as the original.

try stereo places where they do installs. They rip out the factorys ones and put in big sik ones - the factory ones generally go on the shelf. That's where I got mine from!!!

i got 2 factory ford premium free air subs (the one ur after) just sitting in my room. The have both only been used for around 6 months till we installed LPG tanks.
