I would be checking with the proper authorities before cutting holes in the rear panel, it may be deemed unroadworthy the same as if the parcel shelf on a sedan is cut.

Holes aren't a problem as long as you don't remove the whole thing without bracing. Done the research man! You really don't think I would go cutting up my ute if it was illegal do you?

Xhute,
I was only giving some advice! it would be better to know for sure as it may vary from state to state. I would rather know if its ok now than after a defect notice....

yeh always better to be safe than sorry....for along those sorta lines they only have a hissy fit if its any structual modification that would be deemed to weaken the strength of the structure or make it unsafe.

I'll see if I can hunt down some pics but Ive seen a few BAs with 12" woofers...one had one 12" sub mounted in a corner custom enclosure behind each tailight...another had the 2x 12"s just up behind the rear seats in a normal dual sub box mounted to the floor....and one BA with a single rear corner mounted 15" woofer. Havent seen a BA yet with 10"s

BA and AU use the same cabin layout ... so anything that can be fit into an AU will fit into a BA.

I have two 12" JL Audio 12W0 subs in 2 seperate enclosures mounted behind the seats on the small shelf ... they fit nicely behind there .... I have the sub amp mounted on a plate in the centre between them.

I have pics somewhere on here of it.
