Nearly finshed making up my subby box, i cut up a piece of perspex for the face of it, do u think it will make the bass soud wierd

yep, unless ur perspex is an inch thick, it will flex... trust me, its much safer to use laminated glass like car windows, and cheaper and it wont flex, on that note try it anyway considering you have already made it.

perspex will be fine mate....just try n get it thicker than 18mm....im running 25/26mm in a sealed enclosure for 2x 12"s

Yeh Perspex, and braced it all so its not a ricey ratller sound. yeh looks pretty sik put neons inside hookd to the sub, glows through perspex

I would like to see the finished product.

i went glass in both of my cars.

12mm bullet proof glass, is not going anywhere and i can even carry a gangster in the back and he cant shoot me through the sub box.

I used 1 X 12mm and 1 X 20mm for my old box perspex...it was fine. Glass is better in terms of strength (ie 12mm like Aaron said), but is heavier too. Also bear in mind that perspex scratches easier than glass.

Some things to consider :wink:
