hey guys,

does anybody know if i was to change the factory cd player unit in my BF ute with another identical one from a wreaker will i have any problems getting it to run? does it need to go back to a ford dealer to be coded or anything like that?

I had an aftermarket head unit running all of the stereo in the ute and now i have sold it and removed everything and returned it back to the original factory setup but am getting no sound at all. All of the speakers are working fine and the connections are good but i think there may have been a short with the factory cd player and it may have blown the internal amp.

If any one can help me that would be awesome because the ute is being picked up on saturday

Thanks, Jake

if you re use your bem from under the icc, then the car will start and drive. however the radio will need to be flashed by ford to put the code in. until it is flashed it wont work and will simply say code on the screen.
