Im not knocking your amps because I don't know anything about them but I found when I was using the boss amp it didn't matter what I did it still made crackle and squealing noises and popping when I turned the car off but I have since changed nothing apart from putting in rockford amps and i am no longer having those problems.

Just my experience

Good luck

well it is the headunit as it does still do it. Today i wired my splits up to the coustic amp and they worked great
im runing my rears and sub off the jaycar amp so now is there away to fix these burnt tracks or i need a new headunit/source?

Yes anywhere that can fix audio equipment should be able to fix it for you.

Should come to around $50

G'day guys i think ive got success, i swaped headunits with a mate for his basic panasonic : CQ-C1121 and i hooked up the rca's lines to my coustic amp to run the front splits which is set to high pass. The response amp im told was good which it is, just not for my 6inch's so ive got two 12inch pioneers runing from it and its connected via a high pass filter off the rear headunit channels. So at this stage i dont have my rears plugged in and im playing around with the fader and now if i set it to rear the fronts and subs go. So i hooked up the rear 6 inch speakres to the front channels of the headunit but balance it more to the splits and subs more so u can hear the distortion at high volumes. Guys im really amazed by the quality of this headunit compared to my pioneer. Its hooked up wierdly and ive heard the high pass filters arent the greatest but it still sounds great but my next question is would i notice the difference with a headunit with more rca outs? if so is there a decent panasonic unit someone could recommend ?

i have gone through 2 pioneer headunits with exactly the same problem.. first one went, replaced it with a new model, same as yours, i was assing around with something and shorted the battery,, after that the noise returned,,, fortunately i convinced jb to swap the HU over for me... now i am very careful to d/c the battery before i touch anything electrical.. i dont understand why they are so sensitive tho?? maybe its a common problem??
