Hey guys got all the wiring except the boot switch done on the car. I can't find a place to mount a door/boot switch just wondering if anyone knows where i can mount it or if there is another way of wiring it up? I thought i could almost get away with wiring it to the boot light but im unsure if it'll work properly. I have an EFII by the way. Cheers.

For those unsure of what the door/boot switch its a bit like the one in the following link.

your door switch you can splice into the door lighting switch wire because its just another ground point, boot switch however i would reccomend making your own bracket that sits in ur boot space off one of the walls so its not affected by water and what not ;)

looked into that but there is absolutely nowhere to ancor it to. Thats why i thought i might be able to splice it into the light for the boot because when the boot light goes on i thought it might be able to activate the alarm that way?

I dont think you really need a boot switch. The lock itself incorporates a grounding switch for the boot interior light. Surely you could hook into that to save alot of trouble?

Sorry... misread it. I thought you meant you were trying to add a second switch in.

When I see my wiring books tonight I can quickly answer that. When I get home in an hour or so.

with the doors, take the door switch out and strip the insulation off one section but dont cut the wire, solder ur door trigger to it, then tape up with lekki tape, thats how i did it
