I've put 4GA through the clutch hole - it was a bastard but it went through. I've got several other wires going through there too. It used to have 2x 8GA.

Shop was short a disty block so I'm not finished the boot end, but heres the front end.

- Gold - terminal block (2x4GA, 2x8GA)
- Gold + terminal block with a volt meter - I calibrated it as it was 0.4v out of whack (1x2GA, 1x4GA, 2x8GA)
- 4GA cable into a maxi-blade fuse block
- 4GA into the cabin via the already populated clutch cable hole. As you can see in teh second pic I mandrel bent the cable for better electron flow :roll: .
- 4GA run under drivers side carpet (behind brake and accelerator over to the side) and down the drivers side of the car to the boot.
- 4GA into volt and amp meter (also calibrated)
- 4GA into 2F capacitor
- 4GA into distri block (1x4 to 4x8)
- 8GA into amp
- 12GA to boot mounted cig lighter (up under the parcel shelf, always on power)
- 12GA to 300W inverter

I'll hopefully be picking up an extra terminal block, and two more 4GA ring terminals to finish the job tomorrow (they're on back order).

Why did you use 4Ga for everything up to tge cap and disti block, then only 8Ga for the amp? Is the inverter running off the disty block as well??? I still would have contunued 4Ga all the way through.

The amp only has 8GA connectors, and yes everything runs from the disty. When I upgrade my equipment they'll be 4GA fitted.

i just figured, saves running new cabling down the track, do it once and do it right... 0-guage down along the right edge of the carpet to a 1 x 0-guage to 2 x 4 guage dizzy. one 4 guage running to my Audison LRX1.400 monoblock, and the other ready to run to another Audison for the cabin speakers

best way to do it in my opinion

or you can use just 2x 4Ga for the whole lot... Saves having to buy you a dizzy. But the question is, whats cheaper; 2x lenghts of 4Ga w/o dizzy or 1x length of 0Ga with dizzy and 4Ga off shoots?

but then you need to worry about getting 2 lengths of 4 ga off the batt. and running them down the car and all that garbage. personally i think the Oga is a nicer approach in my opinion.

I agree, it would look better, I'm not sure about cost difference, which is why I brought it up.

I run both my amp power windows under the drivers kick panel, One for power, One for earth, yes, I earth my stereo back to the battery .

Where will the amps be?
I'f they are in the boot, expect about 5m.

Get some good quality ones too (shielded as well) or else you're wating your time.
