depends on what type of HU your looking for? ALPINE do a half decent HU for around $500, but you could always have a look at flea bay and check out the head units there. i got a US BOSS multimedia HU for $600 off ebay, is pretty good for the price i paid

hope this helps

Check alpine's website, jb hifi have nothing, try wow sight and sound if there's one in your area. They have a bigger range

ok so i know this hasnt been touched in a month but i wanted to throw in my 2 cents worth.

Recently bought one of the 300 specials off ebay from china. DVD, dvb-T, GPS (dual zone), takes cd, cd-r, dvd, dvd -r +/-, USB interface, bluetooth with phone book, SD, ipod dock and mini usb interface. Plays MP3 MP4 avi wmv wma the freakin lot...even came with a reverse camera that sits nicely above the number plate....big chrome jobby that looks the part

I have to say freakin WOW, took me an hour to pull out the high end double din system in the LTD and slot this bad boy in and another 20 to update to the latest version of IGO maps.

The sound is loud and clear, the screen is bright and clear and it all just works...I had an issue hooking up to the aux style cable that goes to the amp (cause of the butcher that owned the car before me) so I had to cut and splice some wires. When I got the right plugs I went back to the supplier and asked for another set of plugs/cables for the back of the unit and I had them within 4 days... even got a call from the suplier in China to make sure i was happy with it.

About the ONLY down side I have found after 6 months is sometime the radio reception can be a lil bit on the low side.

Ohhh and when you turn it on it comes up with a bloody great big FORD logo that just about gives me a semi every time.

If anyone is interested let me know and I will troll through my ebay to get the supplier details
