Which we worked out.

Mobile phone was left in the car and when it rang with the alarm armed it set it off.

Wondered why the car alarm was going off a few times the other night. 2 missed calls.

HAHAHAHAHA.

But yeah...

So what was the problem ?? Was the shock sensor too sensitive or the phone too close to it ???

The problem was the phone was left in the car. I dont know the technical side of it.

We worked out that the phone would ring and the alarm would go off thats about it.

So the alarm doesn't go off when the phone is a distance from the car ???

Nah what I'm asking is the alarm only goes off when the phone is in the car, not when the phone is a distance away and it rings - the alarm doesn't trigger ??

Okay, I'm in the picture - probably the incoming call signal power's enough to trigger the alarm when close enough - just like the noise you get having a mobile near speakers, a radio, etc.
No doubt you'd have guessed this, and I've droned on here (when I didn't have to) . . . .

If i leave my mobile in the console (coin holder bit) of the EA, this also sets the alarm off, the alarm has a glass breakage detector which senses sound, and the ringtone of the phone is loud enough to trigger it.

was the phone in an in-car kit? in could've drawn power and the alarm thought there was an open door or something due to the sudden draw from the battery....
