8" are the factory size, but some are too small. sounds s**t though unless its a free air sub. got a 8" rockford p2 on my parcel sheft and isnt that good but should sound better once i box it up

8" should fit stock hole. My 8" speaker can fit in the stock hole...I've put it in for s**t and giggles before my final install.

Also 10" can be fitted with a spacer...not sure from above, but definitely from below. MDF spacer (most likely have to make it yourself) held into place from above, 10" sub screwed in from underneath. Works just the same. If you want to keep it stealth, you can always leave the parcel shelf carpet as is.

i have a 12inch fusion jonah lomu comp sub but due to having 2 kids there is no room in the boot anymore

im not wanting it to be really load just a nice tone, and considering i have the amp and all the loom already done i might aswell do it,

i was just looking at something like http://cgi.ebay.com.au/KICKER-SUB-WOOFE ... 500wt_1156

it seems ok but i would also want to source a nice net for it as i dont want it standing out like dogs balls

You can try and mount the sub from underneath, that way noone can see it through the parcel shelf carpet. Don't need to actually have to see the sub cone to hear the bass directly. Bass is supposed to be omni-directional so a piece of carpet won't affect the sound too much.

Don't bother, I've tried it with a RF and a Pioneer, both sounded s**t.
