I've just seen a couple of sets (x4 each) of some 2nd hand XR
rims at a wreckers.......An EB set and an ED set, 15"...

He's asking $480 for a set of 4, without tyres...Is this a fair price??

Mass rip off - You ocasionally see BA XR style 17's on sale on ebay for around $800 with tyres too.

Have a look at my gallery - I paid $330 bucks for my BA XR6 17's (2 with good rubber and 2 bold)...... But then again that was thru a mate......

one of my mates just sold his 16 inch ef tickford wheels for four hundres all five wheels in good condition wit good rubber

Yeah one of my friends brothers is selling his EL XR6 rims, with pretty much brand new rubber (98%) for like $500, i think he is asking for like $400 now.

I just sold a set of EB XR8 15" (machined finished) rims with good 60% tyres for $435,

so hope that gives you a better price indication .
