Yeh I do like the Koyas but $1490 for the Typhoons versus $1700+ for the Koyas is my biggest deciding factor... I'm only a poor little Year 12 student

Besides... The Typhoon rims have me intrigued... I want them if for no other reason than the unique factor...

I have seen an ef/el with the ba typhoon wheels and they dont look to bad. Just get the phoon wheels and use the extra cash on the kit or to throw a set of ultra lows in it

koya makes a few other rims for pre-au...

i wouldnt get the octanes because unless you get chrome (more expensive) the spokes arent polished and look plain. I think they have a rim called race-tek too which are in pre au and are fairly nice.

i have 18in speedy graphites which i got for $1500 with s**t tyres

I am interested in getting some for myself. Care to share where you're getting the Typhoon rims from?

Hm... should I share that secret??? Or take pride in knowing not many people have them....

Where does one get just about everything they could ever desire...?

eBay! http://search.ebay.com.au/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQ ... Zwheelmags

That's the mob I got them off of. $1490 posted to my door with 235/40R18 tyres fitted an balanced. Not bad ones either. I bought the last set of their pre-AU wheels but there will be more. Check their "completed listings" to see the ones I bought.

They make them in Post-AU as well as Pre-AU offset.

yeah but there's so many more added expenses....and insurance will be stabbing you in the back and f**king you in the a*** at the same time. I had like half the gear, then got insurance quote at $4000grand a year with $1500 excess  ....sold the stuff and got myself rims and a new surfboard

hm... Although Just Cars insurance who I'm with will cover a turbo, intercooler, BOV, all that s**t as extras for no extra premium cost, but will not insure any more than $1000 wheels... d**k...
