Firstly, Hi all.

Im new to this forum and infact new to the Ford scene so sorry straight up if I sound like an idiot at any point because to be honest if I sound like I dont know what Im talking about; its because I dont.

Here's the deal (and I did a big search on this forum before I posted this, so if I missed a similar post woops!) Im wondering if it is possible to swap parts from BA models to AU models, and in particular BA GT's to AU Fairlane's. I understand anything can be done if you have the time and money, but im more after a 'yeah it is farily straight forward' sorta thing.

Like I said, I searched the forum and found bits 'n' peices but nothing really specific enough.

If anyone could point me to another post or even just knows the answer that would be great.

Thanks in advance!

Hmmm, this may sound a little odd but I wanted to stick the stock BA falcon headlights onto the AU Fairlane, then the GT front Bumper onto the Fairlane after that. (I have the drawings :D)

I think the bumper should be straight forward but the headlights not so, as they seem to have a completely different headlight casing. I THINK puting BA headlights onto the AU Fairlane would require practically replacing all the body panels from the front doors forward.

I could resort to a BA Fairlane but the price difference is pushing my financial capabilities at the moment.

Any ideas would be great....

This would be my first attempt of anything like this, but I consider myself smart and have a number of mates who are carnuts and have thus performed their fair share of heavy modifications.

Gonna be interesting...if it works out well I'll post about it. Im going for the sporty saloon look. Im not planning on keeping the BA bumper standard, so it will be being modified itself.

seen someone put a BA dash and interior into their AU so it might be worth while tring to get ahold of a 6 disk premo sound unit with GPS to replace your lane one. Mind you the lane one would sell for a fair bit.
