how do i polish my thermostat housing with autosol? rag and rub away or microfibre cloth? there should be a tech doco on this to get the best results.

for best results the housing will need to be sanded super smooth with a few finer grades of sand paper, finishing with around 1000 grit,
then you need to rub the autosol into the alloy, after a few mins of hard rubbing, polish it off with a clean cloth.. |

start off with 320 wet and dry, then 600w&d, then 800w&d, then 1200w&d, then1500w&d. the finer u can get the scratches the easier it will polish up. use good quality wet and dry 3M or norton if u can find it, it will last longer, and use lots of water.
i would first go over any casting marks with a file and make it smooth, saves sanding it. autosol is best used with an old cotton t-shirt or flannelette shirt |

I would highly recommend a polish called PURPLE its the nuts guts, top stuff,

Purple is miles better then autosol.

It even say's on the label that it is addictive,
And I would tell you never to polish part of a aluminum boat, as once you have done part of it, you have to do the rest, hahaha
