am not to sure if this is in the right topic but here goes with the new fords and commadores i have noticed that when people get out of them at night they can leave the headlights on and then lock the car via door lock or keypad and the headlights turn them selfs of after about 30 seconds, and when they come back to there car they unlock via door lock or keypad then instantly turn back on with out having the moter running my questions are ---

can this be done to any car.

and how is this done

if anyone can help me thanks very much as looking at getting this done to a mates car and if successful maybe then might have it done to my car...

kind of correct.

there is a light sensor in the dash. you set the lights to either off on or auto.

when it gets dark enough it turns on your lights. if you turn off engine get out lock it you get about 30 seconds of lights before they turn off.

that only works when its set to auto (in my ba atleast)

if its set to on it just beeps when you kill the engine but doesnt automatically turn them off again.
