Yep.
i'm pretty sure all the BA XT/XR bars were 2 piece.

only some of the front ones were.

not all of the ba rear bars are 2 piece. apparently alot of early ba's are one piece. reason ive been told is that a few different comapnies supplied the xt bumpers, with some doing 1 piece some doing 2 piece. easy to take it off and check though. i know for sure not all ba rear bars are 2 piece as my ba mk 2 had a 1 piece bar on it from factory. i bought the xr lower half to change over and found i had to buy the top half too. was thoroughly annoyed.

and for the record my 2005 ba mark 2 front bumper is 1 piece too
it also seemed to miss out on lap aircon vents in the dash which ive seen in earlier xt's aswell
strange

Well there ya go.
either way, it should be pretty easy to tell if your bar is 1 or 2 piece.

do you remember how much the xr lower bar was?
is it only a ford aftermarket part? or are there other companies doing copies?

I didnt pay for mine so i have no idea.
I'd imagine its a ford spare part.. i'd be suprised if other people did it.
However they do come up on ebay.

got mine from a bumper repair place in midland. cost $100 for the lower piece, and $150 for them to paint it. look on ebay, or look in the phone book for plastic repairs for bumpers, or bumper repairers or such.
