Hi All, I was wondering if anyone can tell me the name of the dark blue paint on the BA MkII XR6's & XR8's

I have been told the colour was "Shockwave" but I thought that colour was from the MkI and the colour was a bit lighter :?:

best bet is to go into a ford dealer (or any car yard with a car that colour) and get the paint code off the complience plate.

im pretty sure i know the colour you want and i dont think its shockwave

Theres a good idea.
I guess the first thing I need to find out is does the paint come in 2 Pack or Acrylic.

Does anyone know if there is a primer available to go over enamel so that the acrylic will stick to it?

I was talking to the paint supplier that my work deals with today and it turns out the colour I'm after is not available in acrylic, The bloke recons the closest colour is the blue that came out on the AU XR's. Not sure if this is correct as what stops you from tinting the acrylic paint to match the colour I want :?:

This is the colour I'm thinkin' of painting the old girl

By the way this ain't my AU

Yeh the colour is a 2pak colour but I'm respraying it (@ home) with the intention of selling it, so I don't want to shell out for a 2pak paint job on this car, but by saying that I don't just want to give it a "jam" job either.
